GTN and Payward Push xStocks Beyond U.S. Shares Into Global Markets
GTN and Payward Push xStocks Beyond U.S. Shares Into Global Markets.
Payward is widening the reach of xStocks beyond U.S. markets through a new partnership with GTN, giving the tokenized-equities platform a path into Asia, Europe and other major financial centers.
The first phase will focus on Hong Kong-listed shares, with the United Kingdom, Europe, South Korea and additional markets expected to follow. Payward also plans to extend xStocks beyond tokenized equities and exchange-traded funds over time, subject to local approvals.
GTN will provide the traditional market infrastructure behind that expansion, including execution, custody, ledgering, record-keeping and sub-accounting. The company connects to more than 90 markets through a single integration, allowing Payward to add international assets without building separate access rails for each region.

The agreement could also widen distribution. Once GTN receives the necessary licenses, xStocks may be offered to its institutional clients alongside existing investment products.
xStocks launched with tokenized U.S. stocks and ETFs backed 1:1 by the underlying assets. Payward said the platform has since grown to more than 500 tokenized assets, generated over $35 billion in transaction volume and reached nearly 200,000 holders across more than 100 exchanges, wallets and decentralized finance applications.
Mark Greenberg, global head of Payward Services, said "the biggest asset class that hasn't been tokenized yet is the rest of the world," pointing to the limits created by geography, settlement systems and traditional market hours.
The products are designed to remain transferable across supported blockchains and tradable around the clock, giving users access outside the operating windows of conventional exchanges. Availability, however, still depends on jurisdiction, and xStocks are not currently offered in several major markets, including the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom.
By pairing GTN's capital-markets infrastructure with Payward's tokenization network, the companies are positioning xStocks as a broader access layer for global securities rather than a product limited to U.S.-listed assets.
